Frequently Asked Questions
Does fragile tape actually make couriers more careful?
Printed fragile tape makes the contents obvious to anyone handling the parcel and serves as evidence of clear labelling in the event of a damage claim. It is widely used by e-commerce businesses and removal companies for exactly this reason. It cannot guarantee how individual couriers handle packages.
Can I use this tape with a standard tape gun?
Yes. The 75mm core is compatible with all standard handheld tape dispensers and desktop tape guns.
Is this tape the same width as standard parcel tape?
Yes — 48mm is the most widely used packing tape width in the UK and fits all standard dispensers.
How does 40 micron compare to the brown and clear tape?
iSOUL's brown and clear tape are 45 microns. The fragile tape is 40 microns — still a premium high-tack grade and suitable for most shipping and packing applications; the slight difference in backing thickness is unlikely to be noticeable in everyday use.
Will the print fade or rub off?
The "FRAGILE" text is printed into the tape backing, not applied as a surface coating. It remains legible throughout normal transit and storage. Prolonged direct sunlight may eventually affect the contrast, as with most printed tapes.
